Most people and businesses in the Baton Rouge area were without power Sunday night as Hurricane Ida stalled over Southeast Louisiana, pummeling the region with fierce winds and heavy rain. 

Around 9:30 p.m., pockets of the area still had power, according to Entergy's online outage map. But most neighborhoods west of the Mississippi River had lost electricity, the map showed.

Here's a breakdown of Entergy customers without power by parish:

East Baton Rouge: 116,038

  • Ascension: 39,054
  • Livingston:  20,212
  • West Baton Rouge: 3,801 
  • East Feliciana: 1,988
  • West Feliciana: 57

DEMCO reported the following outages by parish:

  • East Baton Rouge: 978
  • Ascension: 751
  • Livingston: 710
  • East Feliciana: 193
  • St. Helena: 132
  • West Feliciana: 28
