A boil order has been issued for residents in portions of Livingston Parish.
With normal communications routes interrupted by Hurricane Ida, the command center for the Livingston Parish Fire Department says the Ward 2 Water District has issued a boil advisory until further notice.
The region covers areas around Denham Springs, Walker and Port Vincent served by the Ward 2 Water District.
The water district has no telephone or internet access.
