A little rain. A little heat. And a whole lot of music, muscle cars and food trucks. Folks at the inaugural Food Truck Festival, Fair & Car Show on Aug. 21 at North Park showed the third outweighed anything else.
Hundreds of colorful tents, lawn chairs and a digital stage lit up the Denham Springs event. Slightly damp fans rocked to the beats of performers like Chase Tyler and his band. Other acts ranged from Ashton Gill to Konner James and Chee-Weez. With the help of the Southern Muscle Car Club, Cajun Country Jam’s Scott Innes and Colby Rosenthal kept the ball rolling.
“Not only is it a great family and an end-of-summer event after being shut in so much due to the virus,” Innes said, “folks are getting to know neighbors and friends all over again.”
Some 200 bright muscle cars reflected what sunshine there was, and abundant food kept the crowd fed — from pizza and Mexican to Cajun and frozen treats.
