Mayor Barney Arceneaux and the City Council on Aug. 23 hosted the Gonzales National Dixie Youth Division (AA) 8 and under baseball team.
Arceneaux awarded players and coaches certificates of recognition for winning the 2021 Louisiana State Championship.
He congratulated the Gonzales team for their “outstanding performance and sportsmanship in the nationals tournament.”
